Prof. Jonathan Sharples is a Professorial Research Fellow at the Education Endowment Foundation, seconded from UCL. He is the author of two highly influential Guidance Reports on TA practices and implementation and works internationally in the field of knowledge mobilisation to support individuals and organisations to make an act on evidence-informed decisions. Caroline Bilton is the EEF’ content specialist for Literacy and lead author of the updated KS2 Literacy Guidance Report which is due to published early in the New Year. Previously, Caroline was a primary class teacher, assistant headteacher, English lead and Pupil Premium Champion. She has also worked as an SLE across schools in North Tyneside and Northumberland, working closely with teachers to improve the teaching of reading. Caroline was also an advocate for the North-East Literacy Campaign.
